This page is to inform you about a unique opportunity to get an overview of fundamental issues and research directions in distributed computing, from May 4 (evening)  to 8, 2003, in the lovely island of Porquerolles, a lovely Mediterranean island in front of Toulon in France. Le Lann (INRIA),  D. Malkhi (Université de Jerusalem), F. Mattern (Zurich), D. Powell (LAAS), M. Raynal (IRISA), P. Verissimo (Université de Lisbonne). Program and slides   Topics include: distributed algorithms, fault-tolerance, graph-theory applied to distributed computing, micro-kernels, middleware, mobile computing, P2P information systems,  real-time, security, self-stabilization and topology Thanks to CNRS , MJENR and the GDR ALP and ARP sponsoring, the prices are rather low: around 350E for students (sharing a room) and around 450E for senior researchers. The price includes registration, hotel and meats.
